The company was started in February 2018 and is owned by Eve & Richard Berrill who are absolutely passionate about wine! They previously ran Everich Wines for 17 years.

Since being together Eve and Richard have travelled extensively to many wine regions of the world which include South America, Australia, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, South Africa & Spain. As individuals we have been on “Wine Flights to Australia” with other aficionados including Oz Clarke and Robert Joseph visiting vineyards across the country.

EVE BERRILL

Eve started her career as a window dresser in Surrey where she was born, after squeezing in and out of windows for a couple of years she then decided to squeeze into a Playboy Bunny outfit for over 6 years. 

“After wearing it for a while you just think of it as a uniform and we were well looked after and protected.” She also had a managerial position there. Whilst in London she managed a wine bar in the West End for another 6 years where she achieved Evening Standard Wine Bar of the Year. Also gaining a diploma from the Cava & Penedes Wine Institute and becoming a keen ambassador for Spanish wines. 

Moving on from there she worked at the Fifth Floor in Harvey Nichols running the reception for 2 years.

When she met Richard it seemed natural that they should combine their talents and work together. 

Eve & Richard also sing together and are available to do gigs, their music is acoustic and is mainly 60’s and 70’s.

RICHARD BERRILL 

Richard comes from a farming family in Norfolk, but followed a career in the music industry initially trying to be a professional musician. He then joined Island records working his way through sales and marketing, ending up as an A & R manager.

Richard says “My passion for wine started at the age of 21 when my late father gave me Hugh Johnson’s book of wine, I was hooked!” Richard is well respected in the trade having worked in it for over 30 years and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of wine.

Having gained considerable experience serving the restaurant trade, it seemed logical that when he met Eve they should start their own company which was Everich Wines that they ran together for 17 years.

Richard is a semi-professional guitarist and singer, also a fantastic cook who is happy to help with food preparation, menus and service.

Our speciality now is Food & Wine pairing evenings, which can be themed by country or wine variety. We help with menus as well as choosing the right wines, talking about each wine individually and why it matches the dish.

Our aim is to do more eclectic wine tastings to promote wines off the beaten track, plus wine education on various levels.

We intend to provide exemplary and a highly personal service.

We will show wines from around the world including some organic & biodynamic plus fortified wines and have the ability to source most requirements. 

We can also provide specialist spirits and liqueurs.

Countries represented include - Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, New Zealand, Portugal, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain & USA and other 'up and coming' countries.
